Anthropologist, PhD (Anthropology, Stanford University), associate professor at the department of history at NRU HSE (Saint Petersburg), research fellow and lecturer at Cambridge University (2001–2015). Research interests include: anthropology of exchange, anthropology of post-socialism, history of anthropology. Author of a number of publications, drafter and editor of several collections of essays including “The Topography of happiness: ethnographic contours of modernity” (in Russian: Topografia schastia: etnograficheskie karty moderna) published at New Literary Observer (2013).
