Boris Gasparov (Columbia University, USA)

Boris Gasparov – Professor at the Department of Slavic Languages of Columbia University, Honorary Doctor at Stockholm University. The author of several books devoted to Pushkin and his epoch, Russian modernism, problems of General and Slavic Linguistics, as well as to History of Russian music. At present, such subjects as appearance of romanticism as a pan-European movement and aesthetics of the socialist realism in the context of world culture of 1920’s -1930’s are among his main research interests.
