Mikhail Weisskopf (Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel)
Mikhail Weisskopf was born in September 1948 in the city of Murom. From 1955 he lived in Estonia. He studied at the University of Tartu. In 1972 he moved to Israel. He served in the army, worked as an editor on the radio and in different magazines, edited new translations of the Bible. He graduated from the University of Jerusalem where later presented his doctoral thesis. Lecturer in Russian Literature and History of Russian Culture at the University of Jerusalem. His works are published since 1978 and he is the author of six books and a great number of articles. The English version of one of his books (The Veil of Moses) was published in 2012 by the Publishing House «Brill» under the auspices of the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation.
